1. Take Advantage Of Our Comfort Menu.

We bet that you’ve never been to another dentist office that offers its patients a “comfort menu!” At Dream-Dentistry & Sleep Care, our team meets every week to brainstorm ways we can provide a better patient experience. We’ve compiled a list of patient-requested relaxation amenities and other comfort options that we can provide for you! The menu includes:

  • Soft blankets
  • Warm neck wraps
  • Sunglasses to keep the bright lights out of your eyes
  • Video entertainment
  • Sedation
  • Stress relievers
  • Warm facial wipes to freshen up after your procedure
  • Lip balm
  • Snacks and refreshments
  • Milkshakes in chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla

Plus, if there’s anything that’s not on our comfort menu that will help you relax during your procedure, we’ll try to accommodate your request!

2. Dental Sedation Will Help Minimize Stress And Pain.

If you’re undergoing extensive dental work or are experiencing intense fear surrounding your procedure, sedation dentistry is a safe and effective way to minimize stress and pain when administered by a highly skilled dental professional like Dr. Roeder.

In addition to his dental school education and general practice residency, Dr. Roeder completed the University of Pittsburgh Medical & Dental School Anesthesiology training program so he could better cater to patients with dental anxiety!

Sedation dentistry involves the use of medication to affect how you experience your dental procedure. At Dream-Dentistry & Sleep Care, we offer three types of dental sedation.

Nitrous oxide, also known as “laughing gas,” can help you feel a sense of calm or joy. It’s administered through a small mask we place over your nose. After just a few deep breaths, you’ll start to feel its effects. It’s fast-acting, but it also wears off quickly once we turn off the gas after your procedure, so you’ll feel normal again almost immediately.

Oral sedation is a deeper form of sedation than nitrous oxide. It’s administered in the form of a pill, which we’ll prescribe for you and instruct you to take a certain amount of time before your appointment. You’ll arrive at our office feeling relaxed and perhaps a bit drowsy. Because the effects of oral sedation can be long-lasting, you’ll want to have a friend or family member drive you to and from our office.

IV sedation is the deepest form of sedation that we offer. It’s administered directly into your bloodstream and will quickly make you feel as though you’re in a dream. And most likely, you won’t remember much about your procedure after it’s over. Like oral sedation, the effects can linger even after we’re finished with your dental work, so it’s best to arrange a ride to and from our office.

We know it’s not always possible to find someone to drive you to and from your appointment, so we can have one of our caring staff members drop you off at your house afterward if necessary. Your safety is important to us!

3. Compassionate Care In A High-Tech Office

At Dream-Dentistry & Sleep Care, we want you to feel like family. Dr. Roeder is known for his caring demeanor and ability to make you feel special, and he’s built up a compassionate team of dental professionals that does the same!

With Dr. Roeder and Dr. Kulp, you’ll feel confident knowing they wouldn’t recommend any treatment or procedure they wouldn’t recommend for their own loved ones.

Dr. Roeder has also long embraced computer-assisted dentistry because he knows it makes for a more comfortable patient experience and precise treatment. In fact, he was among the first dentists to use digital X-rays in the late 1990s!

Plus, Dr. Roeder isn’t just committed to the latest dental technology. He’s a true lifelong student of dentistry, always seeking to improve as a dentist through continuing education. In the last 30 years, Dr. Roeder has completed more than 4,000 hours of advanced dentistry training!
